SJ&P serves the church and the greater community by raising awareness and providing information about issues of justice, peace and restoring creation.  The committee provides opportunities for service and giving.  UPC also enjoys a variety of forums for learning and discussion around the many tough topics that confront our lives, our community and our world.

The Social Justice and Peacemaking Committee meets with the Mission Committee; many of our projects and areas of interest overlap. 

Activities of the Committee:  Homeless and hunger concerns dominate the work of the committee with a heavy emphasis on action.  In addition, we have a growing focus on the environment beginning with awareness and education efforts.
