Movie Night

Periodically movie nights are announced. They frequently take place in the home of the pastor or a member. They often begin with a pot luck supper.

Movies are chosen for their depiction of themes and life-issues that have relevance to our lives. We see played-out the problems of life that all of us face. We witness the characters wrestling with difficult decisions, choosing to follow or not to follow an inner call that leads to greater value in themselves or their world.

There is always a follow-up discussion after the movie is viewed where insights and points of view arising from the movie are shared, and where we make note of those moments of creative transformation and resurrection that have been depicted on the screen.
