Our Junior High group is a small but vital part of UPC with leaders who are as young at heart and spirit as the Youth they serve! We are a supportive group that have strong connections with one another and love spending time together.
We meet weekly on Sunday mornings after worship from 11:00-12:00 in the Jr. High Room, west of the sanctuary, through the iron gates, and across the courtyard on the right. (Not as far as it sounds!) We study and discuss various subjects from world religions to how to deal with peer pressure. Food is an important part of our class as is air hockey and basketball hoops. :) Friends are always welcome to join our class!
Every 2nd and 4th Sunday evenings from 6:00-7:30 we join with Youth from Mission del Sol Presbyterian Church for a fellowship time we call TNT( Teen Night Together). We meet on the MdS campus up the stairs in a large room across from the restrooms. In this setting as a larger group we play games, have small group time, eat snack, and discuss different subjects in an open Christian environment. Again, friends are always welcome to join the fun!
In addition to our regular morning meetings and twice a month evening meetings we have lock-ins, lunch dates, parties, mission projects and help with special services at our own churches. We are always involved with Vacation Bible School and can't wait for the summer to head to the mountains in Greer to Montlure Church Camp! We also participate in an Urban Mission Trip over the summer where we do a variety of service projects locally and learn about the needs of people in our own community.
Our Youth Groups are off to a great start and Church School is just around the corner! Thanks to all those that participated in the Jr. High or Sr. High Pool /BBQ/Pizza kick-off parties. I’m very excited for another fun-filled year together. J If you missed-out on the parties, it’s not too late to get involved. We are planning a Sr. High Summer Mission Trip for June that you won’t want to miss!
I hope school has also gotten off to a great start for all of you! Keep-up on your homework, be open to new experiences and making new friends and always remember God is with you EVERY step of the way. I wish you a wonderful year ahead filled with laughter, wisdom, joy, and the knowledge that you’re a child of God and special in every way!

Church School will begin on September 12th at 11:00, please plan to attend! Also to begin on September 12th will be The God Squad Choir directed by Ted Gibson from 11:00-11:20 as part of our Church School experience. This is a special opportunity that all Jr./Sr. High Youth are encouraged to explore!
Senior High Youth Connection
The Senior High Youth Connection will meet in the Senior High Room at UPC, every Sunday night from 6:00-7:30 unless notified. Remember, we won’t be meeting on Labor Day. Have a fun, relaxing weekend! The permission slip and medical forms for participation in Youth Connection have been emailed or handed out to all the youth. Please bring those back ASAP with everything filled-out and signed. If you did not get them, ask me for one. Thanks, you’re the best! J

The Jr. High Youth Group/TNT begins their regular schedule September 12th from 6:00-7:30 at Mission del Sol Presbyterian Church, and will continue every 2nd and 4th Sunday night. Like the Sr. High, you also have forms to fill-out completely and return ASAP to me. If you didn’t get the forms, please ask me for a copy. I’m looking forward to a wonderful year ahead!
