The overall theme, goals and objectives of the committee is to:

V     To create a new image, new direction, new energy and enthusiasm

V     To continue the theme of Letting Go – Letting In, Renewal & Growth

V     To include the entire congregation as “committee member” who volunteer and help out when called upon regularly and on an as needed basis.

Outreach and Fellowship uses the theme of “Discipleship Alive” to direct focus on the actions of new membership, fellowship and increasing the level of congregational participation in the planning and implementation of outreach and fellowship events.

V     Discipleship is: To have a Learning Spirit – to listen and learn about our faith

V     To have a Loving Spirit –  to bring love, friendship to others through our faith

V     To have a Serving Spirit – to be called to action to serve others through our faith

We all carry Christ within us in our everyday lives.  We best serve our church when we start to remember and believe our thoughts and actions can have an impact on not just our church family, but our outer community as well.  Evangelism is addressed through our intentional invitation and hospitality to experience UPC life.  We as a congregation do this through advertising, promotion, offering to share our faith stories beyond our sanctuary doors and by providing nurture, study, and worship, on a daily basis.  Outreach and Fellowship facilitates new member classes.
